I Have a New Hobby: Weaving!

I have a new hobby! I am now a weaver! I woke up one day and decided to look into this art form and bought my first small loom called a "Cricket Loom." I was hooked. I now own 6 looms of various sizes and am having a lark doing this. It's creative and tremendously satisfying. Here are a few of my projects. Obviously, I like color:

This weaving was on display at the Grand Opening (March 2025) of the new location of the Marshalltown
Arts and Culture Alliance. What a festive occasion to see artwork from 39 local artists. There was artwork from people I didn't even know were artists! What a treat.
